How To Hold Yourself Accountable

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about new fitness journeys, new jobs, new babies, new diets and new goals! It’s these posts that make me absolutely LOVE scrolling through my news feed on Instagram and Facebook. But behind those positive/motivational posts are normal people, just like those of us reading their motivational posts. And those people have every day duties, struggles and obstacles. So how do those people stay on track? How do they hold themselves accountable? More importantly, how do YOU hold yourself accountable?

No matter what life has in store for you right now, no matter what your goals are, it’s important to hold yourself accountable to following through with those goals. BUT HOW? WHAT’S THE EASIEST WAY? We all want to know the secret but the secret is: there isn’t one.

The best way I’ve found to hold myself accountable is by purchasing a planner and a home office calendar! I carry my planner wherever I go and am constantly writing short term, long term and daily goals in it. When I get home I make sure I copy those goals onto my at home office calendar [which is hung up on our office wall]. That way I see my goals in my planner and in my house. Having a constant reminder of what it is I’m trying to achieve is a sure fire way to meet those goals! So whether your goal is to lose 10lbs, add an extra 20lbs to your deadlift, start your own business or eat healthier for your new bun-in-the-oven, writing down your goals will 100% help you achieve them. Constant reminders allow your goals to take a front seat in your mind and steer you right into success!!
