Picking The Perfect Protein – theboxmagazine.com

Working in and managing a supplement store, I often get the same question – What Protein Powder Is Right For Me?

This article I just came across simplifies the answer and puts all the bullsh*t aside with a pretty straight forward answer. The article states that what you want to look for in a Protein Powder is LEUCINE. It notes that research has suggested that it takes at least 2.5 grams of leucine (or 5 grams of BCAAs) to maximally stimulate muscle-protein-manufacturing systems. Look for this in any protein you pick up, it should be clearly stated on the protein’s supplement label.

If you’ve been following me for a while now you know that I use Pro5, Pro7ein Synthesis (VP7) and Hydro-Pro. All 3 proteins have more than the 2.5 grams of leucine needed to maximally stimulate muscle-protein-manufacturing systems. To learn where you can pick up these protein powders, Nutrishop’s link is in the bottom bar of my blog or just click Nutrishop!

Pro5 has 3.39 grams of leucine
