Whether you CrossFit or not, you know you always get stumped when you see AMRAP or WOD pop up somewhere on the internet. You literally look at that word and go cross-eyed.
When I first stared CrossFit, it wasn’t the movements I was concerned about learning, it was the language!! I texted one of my friends and asked “WILL I EVER UNDERSTAND WHAT ANYTHING MEANS?!” I still get stumped when my coach puts up RC on the white board. (Can you guess what that means without scrolling down??)
Well, whether you’re new to CrossFit, not a CrossFitter at all and are just curious, or like me and forget what the heck everything means, I compiled a few CF(CrossFit) abbreviations and their meanings below. I’m sure I missed a ton and I’m sure some coaches come up with their own abbreviations so feel free to comment below with any others I’ve forgotten or any others your coach has come up with!!
